Dr. Sutherland is a native of North Mississippi and a 1994 graduate of the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine .  In his career, he has served as a private practice associate and practice owner.  He has also worked in regulatory roles and veterinary consulting involving matters of general veterinary practice, public policy and animal welfare.  

His special interests include general veterinary practice, mentoring veterinary professionals, and practice management. He is dedicated to helping  owners develop comprehensive veterinary care plans that support their pets' health, comfort, and quality of life.
